What steps can I take to engage constructively in challenging conversations?

September 9, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Sometimes it is difficult, even painful, to engage with people who have views very different or opposite to your own.  Rather than ending in conflict we know we would rather have honest and constructive conversations that build understanding and create connection not separation.  The upcoming Referendum on giving Indigenous Australians a Voice to Parliament enshrined in the Constitution is a very current arena for such conversations.

the Grail Women in Sydney invite you to join for an afternoon with Shoshana Faire on Saturday 9 September, 2-4pm, beginning with a cuppa at 1.30pm.

Donations appreciated.

The gathering will give us a chance to deepen our understanding of the skills we can practice for a more engaging approach to conversations - and to share our experiences of interactions with people whose stance is very different.  Shoshana will take us through 6 steps for engaging constructively in challenging conversations.

Shoshana Faire currently offers a 5-week program on Zoom about ‘Engaging Constructively in Challenging Conversations’.  She began her journey as one of the Co-founders of the Conflict Resolution Network. She is co-author of the best-selling book ‘Everyone Can Win – Resolving Conflict Constructively’ and has delivered over 1,250 workshops in corporate, government and community contexts on the skills that contribute to better relationships, teams and meetings. She is currently actively involved with Initiatives of Change https://au.iofc.org  and is passionate about building bridges across divides.
